Description
Established in 1865 as refinery for imported raw cane sugar based and seated in Amsterdam. It was successful for a period and submitted plans for expansion at its site at Lijnbaansgracht 157 in Amsterdam in 1871 (today this is very central in Amsterdam). By 1891 the company is no longer listed amongst the Dutch refineries.
Unusually thin paper and an unusually colourful (4 colours!) and detail-loving design and the only example of a work by the book printers "Gebr. Binger" in Amsterdam I have come across. Remaining coupons attached - 15 were removed.
